EEO 4.0 German Days and a protest sell-out

Written by Equipo Easy On at 17:03 8/1-2016

  Season 17 through 20 (approximately)

I changed the nationality of my team for one reason only: I wanted to do more in OCM, and by changing the flag, I could manage the German NT.

Being frustrated by the meagre results of the NT, and bored by the continuous successes of the team, I decided I needed to boost the NT alone. There was definitely also presumptuousness involved, caused by steady success and the related constant income.

Therefore I started scouting Germans, trained a few, some were pretty good.

But then there came a sudden huge sell-out --- one by one the Caribbean riders were sold. The big question remains, why? I was certain that this economical folly would mean the end of EEO as a Top5 team. So why the heck would anyone do this?

  There were a few reasons:

-I was extremely annoyed how a certain team made its way through OCM with obvious shady transfers. Of course this was not cheating, but it was so opposed to the gentlemen behaviour I was used to that I needed to protest (As this is OCM, of course this protest was to no avail whatsoever)

-I also did not feel like competing against teams like this, for me this is fun, not a real competition and overambitousness just puts me off

  And very importantly

-I was bored by Division 1 races

-I always enjoyed scouting most and with the fresh funds and no aim in the ranking, I could waste away 100's of thousands of OCM$ on scouting, but this happened a little later ---

Thomas Munoz could always use some friends from Guam... which has the best NT shirt on the game... ;)

Equipo Easy On at 11:40 10/1-2016
Yes, 30 or so of my designs were elected back then in the competition, but not all were deemed "fitting OCM general style" afterwards so some were lost I believe :( Good that OCM general style does not apply anymore....

Team WonderDee at 11:37 10/1-2016
Good design. I have made the shirt all the new nations + some older nation that missed a shirt.

Equipo Easy On at 11:27 10/1-2016
And it is me who did it :)

Team WonderDee at 10:44 10/1-2016
Hope you are allowed to move then :) Bahamas got a nice NT shirt :)

Equipo Easy On at 10:40 10/1-2016
I want to change to Bahamas, the country of my favourite rider ever, Broderick Rimmer and suitable to the past EEO and my future plans - the NT post has been arranged to change already.

Team WonderDee at 10:31 10/1-2016
What nation are you changing to? If you get it approved.

Equipo Easy On at 10:28 10/1-2016
It could be - if my request for nationality change is granted, which I doubt. (Although so far the talent feature has yielded so incredibly poor potentials for me, every few months a solitary "good")

Team WonderDee at 09:27 10/1-2016
Could this be a challenge for you EEO? http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/forum/general/260424

Equipo Easy On at 17:16 9/1-2016
I do agree, that it is very much a simulator game with very little management - but I will address this later in a PR :) ...

trackstah07 at 00:27 9/1-2016
  LOL.

I'm so happy in Div. 3 & 4. That's always been where the true soul of OCM has been. Teams higher up, especially most of Div. 1, have generally turned the game into an economic farming simulator.

Equipo Easy On at 21:08 8/1-2016
there was a bunch of teams back then, but one team, what was its name, climb4death I think, was definitely the most successful. Probably some teams are still around, but then do not read the forum, that helps :)
